I’m pleased to announce my participation in and coordination of this book arts exhibt with Triangle Book Arts at Artspace in Raleigh. On view from January 26–March 3, 2018. Thirty-three artists from TBA each exhibit either one or two pieces as well as participate in several collaborative works. This has been a rewarding endeavor of which my heart swells at seeing all the hard work finally come to fruition. There is much to process, but for now I’ll enjoy the show!

My pieces include, Living Abundantly, an altered book incorporating collage and plant life and There’s No Place Like Home, a hanging multimedia sculptural form with attached book.

There’s No Place Like Home

The show’s underlying theme is upcycling and reuse seen through a book art lens, exploring what story can be told using materials and objects that have lived a previous life. Some of the resulting works push the idea of the book form in interesting and unexpected ways while others utilize recognizeable forms and binding methods with a twist on content.

Several coordinating events are happening during the show run, as listed below, beginning with the opening reception on February 2nd.
