Marbled Minis Project
The pandemic lockdown was an effective reminder to savor the many small joys in life, one of which is receiving a heartfelt note or gift through the mail. As part of staying connected to a regular practice I used postage stamps as the catalyst to create a set of books that celebrate the stamp’s subject as well as the art of handmade marbled paper. This set of small works were included in the exhibit Hope & Creativity in the Time of COVID. The intricacy and intimacy of these mini works of art are proof that more often than not, big things do indeed come in small packages.
A selection of Marbled Minis are held in the Atkins Library North Carolina Artist Collection at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
